Unbelievable, didn’t expect it to go as well as it did that’s for sure,
Don’t see many of them on Melbourne’s roads, however one passed me on the Tullamarine freeway a month or so ago.
I’m a fan, but until there’s enough quick-charge stations available I think they’ll be slow to gain a foothold.
It’s great no doubt, fast, clean, and the way of the future for sure. They mention sound of the engines (and lack of it for the electric) in passing, but it’s a real part of the experience of a performance car. I bet 10,20,30 years from now we’ll be reminiscing about the aural qualities of a well tuned V8, boxer (a la Porsche), or even the classic BMW straight sixes (older generation M3).
My guess is they may cheat a little with this and artificially add sound back into the system in the same way they do with some diesels.

In insane mode how long will the batteries last ? Not very long is my guess and I don’t think they would live for very long either. Very very very expensive to replace.
