Patience is free but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come at an unseen cost.
Every time you are forced to exercise discipline you are running the tank down a little bit. If I were to use an analogy it is somewhat akin to wandering around a supermarket with a toddler who wants to have every single piece of crap food they see until you go screw this and load the little bugger up with sugar which whilst it solves a current problem creates a much bigger one down the line.
Discipline requires practice so there is always something left in the tank to stop you from doing stupid things.
