Well we are only five months into the year and I think I have found the winner of this years most useless piece of financial journalism. The clubhouse leader is Nicole Goodkind of Yahoo finance whose article Secrets of the worlds sexiest CEO is probably one of the most demeaning and childish pieces I have encountered so far this year. This is saying something because the level of sexiest idiocy in journalism still runs high in every country. Whilst, it is impossible to tell whether a sub-editor dropped in the profoundly stupid title – it really is time some people grew the f@3k up.
Seems to be what the world is all about these days. The so called mainstream news channels are more about pushing out press releases than any form of investigative journalism. Even once solid players happily fill most of their content with either football or celebrity crap. Just look at the Packer/Gyngell stoush and how much air time that has swallowed up. In Tasmania the ABC seems to be some kind of outlet for the AFL
As a general rule anything that begins “The secrets of…” or “The 10 most …” I don’t get much further than that
I dont frequent any of News Corps news outlets but the other day I stumbled upon their website and it seems to be little more than cutting and pasting from various other sites, most of which seemed to be designed to appeal to either total morons or 16 year olds.
