Hmmm whilst the new Datsun shown is certainly throw up material styling wise IMO it’s not really not a fair comparison though. Shouldn’t the second pic be the latest rendition of the old 240Z which is the 370Z coupe’ The 370Z whilst not my cup of tea isn’t a bad looking car really despite being another hairdresser’s car. 😛
They started getting it wrong quite soon after the 240z in my opinion. 260z, 280z then 300z seemed to follow a different design brief, or have no clear design brief. I agree with Sean that the 370z is the closest they have come. Perhaps if the did an R version like Porsche, it would be closer still.
The Datsun Z series was the classic sports car shape.
