I know nothing about gold fundamentals – nor do I want to. However, I had excel open and thought it might be interesting to look at the pattern of gold reserves.
And a chart always makes things more interesting…..
A few things about this interest me.
1. Australia despite being the second largest gold producer does not feature on the list. I believe we come in at about number 38 in the hit parade.
2. Lebanon at 19 is interesting . From what i can find out most of this was acquired in the 1960’s before the country went to shit and there is internal debate as to what do with this sizeable reserve.
