Following on from my latest video I did a bit more digging and found some convenient data on hedge fund returns and the salaries of the top hedge fund earners according to Bloomberg
The chart below is composite data from the Barclays hedge fund index which looks at the returns of 1781 reporting hedge funds. I mapped this data again the S&P500 for reference.
As you can – not that impressive.
The graphic below looks at the top earners according to Bloomberg.
What is impressive about this is that Isreal Englander pocketed $US2.8B for a fund that generated less than half the return of the S&P500 last year as did Ken Griffin whose Citadel only return 15%
Its good work if you can get it.
