You would have thought that someone like me would have already explored all the ways in which you can upset people but over the past few days I have managed to discover two more.
- Tell people they are living the life they have created. This is simply a variation on the old theme of you are where you want to be. If you want any aspect of your life to be different then change it.
- Tell someone that as a white middle aged baby boomer with a private school education and a free university degree that it is incumbent upon them to be successful. If you have all the advantages in the world and are not successful and success is defined as living life on your own terms then the vast fortune spent on your education has been a waste.
Take the test and see if you are offended – which is the default state for people today when confronted by an idea that makes them uncomfortable.
I think the recent women’s US Tennis Open final and subsequent cartoon depiction have added a couple more to your list CT.
I’m interested in the “story behind the story”. How did one discover such delightful insights into annoying people over the last couple of days? 🙂
I’m with Damian…do tell the story behind the story from recent days…and yes, a lot of snowflakes hate having to accept responsibility for where they are at because they refuse to accept that their actions led them to where they are now. Self responsibility for self outcomes is now disconnected, so it seems.
