Apparently the world is sitting on the edge of a global pandemic that will wipe out society as we know it, that’s at least according to the media and its reporting of the outbreak of the coronavirus in Southern China. To date, the virus has killed 26 people to date. To put this into context (there’s that word again) yesterday on average 3,287 people were killed in road accidents worldwide and a staggering 46,575 died from some form of cardiovascular disease. Despite this, I bet you many people went out and bought a mask to wear, cancelled travel plans and generally threw themselves into a panic. Yet they still got in the car to go and buy a burger and chips for dinner.
If you live your life according to what the media tell you is important then you only have yourself to blame for the state it is in.
Have to laugh at those people wearing the facemasks. Especially when they dont cover thier nose! Then theres the fact that the longer you wear the mask, the more absorbant it becomes because of the moisture build up. Also the cheap arse masks arent going to filter much.
Chris,
You are spot on with this.
In one day 3,287 people died due to car accidents … that takes a bit of getting my head around … and then there were 46,575 who died, on that same day, from cardiovascular disease, far out!
Sounds like getting through a day is a cause for celebration … or at least gratitude.
