Most people in life go nowhere that is a given and they go nowhere because even when given an opportunity to make a small difference to their lives they do something stupid. I have had the graphic below sitting on my junk file for awhile cluttered in with all the rest of the detritus I seem to accumulate. The graphic shows the spending pattern of people who took advantage of the early release scheme for their superannuation as the COVID pandemic was in full swing.
You will note some folks did something clever and used it to pay down debt and then there was everyone else with the next largest category of spending being gambling.
