One of the most interesting things about natural phenomena which have a clear scientific explanation is that they tend to bring out the nutbags in the world. I was sitting in the lounge at the airport and LB was reading to me all the crap that was on social media regarding the recent super blue blood moon. Apparently this natural event is according to some responsible for every single psychological malady experienced by anyone on the planet Earth during that 24 hour period. Feeling sad – its the moon, feeling happy – its the moon, overeating due to anxiety – its the moon. Consumed with rage that people are so friggen stupid – its the moon. Well its only the moon indirectly because I am actually annoyed at people for being stupid in their reaction to the eclipse. I wont go into detail as to why it is impossible for a celestial body to have any effect on you other than amazement at the wonder of it but I will state quite clearly. If you have any magical beliefs at all then you will find trading to be a very hard road. It will be hard simply because you ascribe portent and mystery to simple phenomena and lack sufficient logical horsepower to see things as they truly are not as your superstition dictates.
The Moon affects the tides the human body is in the majority water could their not be a connection ??????
The moon creates the tides through gravity and the earth also has an effect because of the spin. The moons gravity will also have an effect on the human body but it will be tiny just like the suns effect, the effect of mars and all the other planets. None of them are noticeable by humans because our mass is tiny compared to theirs. As an example, gravity keeps us on the ground but we don’t really notice it unless we fall down or jump off a tall structure
Chris,
As usual, very economic use of succinct English to describe an all too common malady.
“Nutbags”…I will incorporate this word with relish and delight from today.
Cheers to you both for a profitable 2018.
Roy
Chris,
As a follow-up, however, knowing a few local Triage nurses and Police here, most staff personally acknowledge an absolute direct correlation with the Full Moon with a very significant statistically proven spike in admissions and trouble on exactly any Full Moon night. Perhaps Ralph has a point, and don’t ask me to provide stats on this. Just chat with your local cops and Triage nurses, and I bet you’ll find that correlation…and yes, I know it makes no logical sense, but perhaps it just is what it is.
Cheers
Roy
Actually – it is statistically false – see

the only thing proven by you local police and nurses id confirmation bias
What he said……
There is no correlation between the movement of celestial bodies and the human condition – unless one lands on and then your day is completely buggered. The same is true for bullshit astrology….
i am going to go MOONING, Anyone INTERESTED
Dam i thought he aid NUTSACK.!!!
