There is endless chatter by traders as to the need for an edge but very rarely does anyone either explain what an edge actually is or put forward examples of how to build them.
In this video I define what an edge is, give a real world example from an unrelated highly competitive arena, and then show examples of simple edges.
Thanks Cris some wise advice

It has been my observation that in shorter time frames the noise to signal ratio is skewed in the direction of noise. This noise has to be filtered out otherwise you spend most of your trading career trying to trade countertrends instead of the actual trend. In higher time frames (weekly and above) there is a lot let noise. As such there doesn’t seem the need to further filter the information.
