Apparently that time of the year when turkeys are nervous is approaching in the US. I saw the chart below doing the rounds on the google box with a big of digging I found that it is apparently from WSJ
So I decided to look a bit harder at stock seasonality and generated the following chart that looks at the average monthly returns on the S&P500 for the past 30 years.
The question is do either pieces of data add anything to the trading universe or are they merely interesting distractions. My view is that they are simply part of the cornucopia of data that is thrown up around markets. None of which match……
