A few weeks ago LB and I had to trot into town for the day for a meeting and since I dont do public transport for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who has caught public transport I decided to drive and park. Since I am little bit compulsive in my planning I looked up the building where we were going and noted that they had parking in the building, which would have set me back $79 for the day but I had to be out by 4.00PM which would have been a pain in the arse to wander back to the car and shift it somewhere else. So I decided to look up the parking fine for that park of the CBD. Lo and behold it was $79 – so I just rolled on up, parked out the front and came back much later that day. Same price, no inconvenience.
This is great … and let’s hope a council worker or whoever manages the parking there is not reading your article, as they may make changes. I remember when the fine for parking in Brisbane city streets was only $30, was worth it for the convenience if caught …until Council finally woke up and changed things!
